Installing Plug-ins

If you have subscribed to an add-in that requires the installation of an additional plug-in (e.g. the MS Excel add-in or the MS Project add-in), or if such an add-in has been activated for you, the required installation file will be made available to you via download.

How to download the installation file for a plug-in

Prerequisites:

→ You have accessed the BIMPLUS web portal and logged in (see "Signing in to the BIMPLUS web portal")
→ The add-in has been activated for you

  1. Call up the navigation menu by clicking in the title bar of the BIMPLUS web portal on Show navigation menu.

  2. Click on the add-in for which you want to install the plug-in and then click DOWNLOADin the central workspace.

    Tip: If you have received an order confirmation e-mail, you can also click directly on the file under Download your ordered files here .

  3. Save the file locally on your workstation.


To install a plug-in required for a Bimplus add-in

Prerequisites:

→ You have accessed the BIMPLUS web portal and logged in (see "Logging in to the BIMPLUS web portal")
→ The add-in has been activated for you
→ You have downloaded the installation file for the plug-in

  1. Exit the application for which the plug-in is to be installed (e.g. MS Excel or MS Project).

  2. Execute the downloaded installation file (EXE file).

  3. Restart the application.
